Canterbury Engineering can manufacture or rebuild screws up to 24 inches in diameter by 30 feet long and barrels up to 12 inches I.D.
CEC's standard base material for screws is AISI 4140 heat treated and stress relieved to 28-32 RC. OD of flights are either flame hardened or hard faced with:

Stellite® # 12 Colmonoy® # 56 Tungsten Carbide Stellite® # 6 Colmonoy® # 83 Coltung Colmonoy® # 83

 

 

 

Additional hard facing can be provided as specified. Other common base materials are Hastelloy®, Stainless Steel, and AISI D2, Inconel, CPM 10V, 17-4 PH, CPM9V, Haynes-242.
