History
Canterbury Engineering was founded in a small town, Canterbury, Connecticut, in 1975. It was
started as a small, single owned company making tooling for wire and cable by Vijay Anand.
Canterbury was moved to its present location in Atlanta, Georgia in 1978. In 1980, the company
was incorporated and built its first 3,000 sq. ft. building. In 1982 Canterbury added a Screw
and Barrel rebuilding and manufacturing facility by purchasing 13 acres with approximately
10,000 sq. ft. of building space. Within 2 years, the Tooling and Screw and Barrel
business was moved to a new 25,000 sq. ft. building, specifically constructed to meet
Canterbury's manufacturing needs. Canterbury has continued to grow with a 35,000+
sq. ft. facility. Over the last 30 years, Canterbury has been recognized as a leading
supplier and a one stop source for quality screws, barrels, crossheads and tooling worldwide.
