Our History

Canterbury Engineering

Canterbury Engineering was founded in Canterbury, Connecticut, in 1975. It started as a small, sole-proprietorship making tooling for the wire and cable industry.

Canterbury Engineering moved to a location in Atlanta, Georgia in 1978. In 1980, the company was incorporated and built its first 3,000 sq. ft. building. In 1982 Canterbury added a Screw and Barrel rebuilding and manufacturing facility by purchasing 13 acres with approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of building space.

Within 2 years, the Tooling and Screw and Barrel business was moved to a new 25,000 sq. ft. building, specifically constructed to meet Canterbury's manufacturing needs. Canterbury has continued to grow with a 35,000+ sq. ft. facility.

During the last 30 years, Canterbury Engineering has been recognized as a leading supplier and a World Class source for quality screws, barrels, and extrusion tooling.
